Quilled Peacock Card

Cards are always in trend. Even if we feel, cards are out of fashion due to the developed social media like facebook and twitter, we could still see people giving cards to one another.  Our life is getting easier day by day, posting simple greetings to friends on their wall or tweeting them. But what if someone gives a card on our hand and wishes, we could see social media loses the nature of giving gifts and greeting cards. It is so common to send greeting on walls and tag on photos, but still people will not be surprised. If we want them to feel special, greeting card or gifts would always make them excited.

As I'm budding crafter, all new crafting materials (i see in everyday life) make me dumbstruck. Though handmade crafts take time, it is worth always. When someone spends their time into making something and to gift us, aren't we lucky enough to get those. Don't worry, even if you don't have crad making supplies :) Still you can make a card like this Click Here.

I have chosen peacock theme to make this quilled card. As I wanted to make microscopic structures of peacock feathers, have chosen Blue, Golden and Green light.  If you take closer look, the blue and golden coils are tight edge pinched and green are loose edge pinched coils. Body are made of loose coil, horns and face are tight coils.

I added Green  flower punch embellishment to make it more attractive. Glued golden half beads on top of it. I bought Golden stickers from ItsyBitsy, i wanted to tell like "Peacock carries the Gift", so glued the Golden gift sticker in mouth of peacock. This card can be used for Birthday or Anniversary or any other celebration, so glued "Celebrate" embellishment, caps, sparkling lights
