[Book Review] A Girl to Remember

I was curious to know who could be "A Girl to Remember" from the first chapter, but it changed my guesses several times. Only after finishing the middle of the pages, It was predictable that it could only be either Annu or Pihu, but it was worth the wait to know who she is.

Neel, the protagonist, was just a human crafted out of stone. He was unfaithful in relationships and was far from emotions. He would stoop so low to change any circumstances into an opportunity for his desires.

An intrusive Pihu tried to help Neel out of nowhere when his life turned into a fiasco, and she also obsessed with him which was mistaken by Neel. He was eventually sheltered by a charming woman, Annu, who was the mother of Pihu.

Pihu was mostly portrayed as preposterous and juvenile whereas Annu was progressive and strong. Other characters, teenager Ananya, the understanding friend Aarav, Neel's weak mother, ever-loving brother Nikhil, unstable Neha are developed and their shades depicted well.

Few pulled out quotes from the book,

A woman is a mother, a sister, a friend, a daughter to someone. You can understand these relationships better when you become a father or a husband. A relationship is the mother of all feelings. You will realize that she is not just a body, she is much more than that.

Memories are a gift and a curse.

Simplicity does have its own beauty.

Confession is the best punishment.

A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimension.

It is a smooth & pleasant read. The plot & narration is too good than his previous book "Her Last Wish". Characters aptly justified their role and no gap found in the narration logically. The short awareness about a disease "Thalassemia" like his earlier "Her Last Wish", the fact about "In every angel, a demon hides" in reality are aesthetically described. I delved into the book and was touched, so I highly recommend this for every "Daddy's Princess". I will now attempt to pick up Ajay K Pandey's hinging on the blurb.
