Paris for One by Jojo Moyes

Paris for One was just to match the vibe and keep my reading going while exploring the city of Paris.

This is the story of two complete strangers from different nations. Nell's boyfriend abandons her just minutes before embarking on what was supposed to be a lovely romantic weekend away in Paris.

Fabien from Paris lost his manuscript in the wind before publishing and felt awful about his life.

The wind began to blow in her direction after she met Fabien in Paris. She is a warm soul and impetuous by nature, yet she was unable to react quickly since she prioritised the needs of others over her own.

After meeting Nell, Fabien overcomes his pessimism, while Nell forgets her abandoned love and finds herself in the new city. The plot revolves around how she transforms into a different person after meeting the right person.

The narrative feels believable, as if it were happening to a friend of mine. It's not overly romantic. It is a quick read. Simple vocabulary. It's a chick-lit novel. It's about 100 pages long. I appreciated how the author condensed the plot into less than 100 pages. If you find reading intimidating, I highly recommend this book.
